The Coming Antichrist!

2 Thessalonians 2 Living Bible (TLB)

1-2 And now, what about the coming again of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered together to meet him? Please don’t be upset and excited, dear brothers, by the rumor that this day of the Lord has already begun. If you hear of people having visions and special messages from God about this, or letters that are supposed to have come from me, don’t believe them. Don’t be carried away and deceived regardless of what they say.

For that day will not come until two things happen: first, there will be a time of great rebellion against God, and then the man of rebellion will come—the son of hell. He will defy every god there is and tear down every other object of adoration and worship. He will go in and sit as God in the temple of God, claiming that he himself is God. Don’t you remember that I told you this when I was with you? And you know what is keeping him from being here already; for he can come only when his time is ready.

As for the work this man of rebellion and hell will do when he comes, it is already going on,[a] but he himself will not come until the one who is holding him back steps out of the way. Then this wicked one will appear, whom the Lord Jesus will burn up with the breath of his mouth and destroy by his presence when he returns. This man of sin will come as Satan’s tool, full of satanic power, and will trick everyone with strange demonstrations, and will do great miracles. 10 He will completely fool those who are on their way to hell because they have said no to the Truth; they have refused to believe it and love it and let it save them, 11 so God will allow them to believe lies with all their hearts, 12 and all of them will be justly judged for believing falsehood, refusing the Truth, and enjoying their sins.

The Antichrist is on the way!  We don't know when he'll be revealed, but it is coming.  The Bible warns us of the coming "son of perdition" (son of destruction, son of Hell).  He will come as a man of peace, prosperity, religion, & politics.  His promises will be lofty & accepted worldwide.  He will deceive the masses.

Is he already alive?  Probably so.  He could be revealed at any moment.  All that needs to take place is the RAPTURE of Christ's church (1 Thess.4; 1 Cor. 15) & the Antichrist will be revealed.

He will sit on the throne in Jerusalem & the world will flock to him.  DON'T BE DECEIVED!  ACCEPT JESUS CHRIST AS YOUR SAVIOR & AVOID THE COMING WRATH OF GOD!  Repent & believe the Gospel.  Trust Christ & not the Antichrist.  Time is growing short.  Turn to God while you can.

The God Of The 2nd Chance

"Now the word of the Lord came to Jonah the second time, saying,"  Jonah 3:1

God is the Giver of 2nd chances!  It's not over when God is involved!  You may have fallen in your walk with God.  You may even be far from God.  But if you'll repent & return to Him, GOD WILL USE YOU FOR HIS GLORY!  What a blessed thought.

Don't let the devil convince you that you're through.  It's not over yet!  Return to God; seek His will.  Let God restore the joy of your salvation.

NOW is the time to serve the Lord.  Let God use YOU for HIS glory.

How's Your Reflection?

"Live as citizens who reflect the Good News about Christ."  Phil. 1:27a

Do our lives reflect the Gospel?  As Christians, we are to carry the Gospel to the ends of the earth (Mk. 16:15).  We are also commissioned to live out the Gospel daily.  What does this mean?

1. We are to be "Gospel dependent".  Our lives should be consumed with the Good News of Christ.  Christ is our all & in all.  Once we are saved, every aspect of our lives should reflect Christ's Gospel.

2. The Gospel is meant to be "seen".  In other words, we are to tell & LIVE the Good News of Jesus.  To tell one thing & live another is hypocrisy.

3. Remember- God is watching.  We will someday give an account to Christ for our lives.  Let's do our best tobe faithful to the One Who saved us by His grace.

Don't Sell Out!

"Get the truth and never sell it; also get wisdom, discipline, and good judgment." Prov. 23:23 NLT

The greatest thing you can do in your life is get the TRUTH.  Many pursue truth; most don't have it.  People search in the wrong places.  They look to religion, politics, philosophy, etc. to find the truth.  What a monumental waste of time.

Truth, real truth--eternal truth, is found only in  the sacred pages of the Word of God.  Once you have that--never sell it!  Never get rid of it!  Never forsake it!  Get thew Truth & KEEP IT.  Study it.  Cultivate it.  PRACTICE it.

Get in a church that will teach you the TRUTH.  Not traditions...TRUTH!  That is the need of this critical hour.  Cling to God's Word.  Love it.  Thank God for it.

A Know So Salvation

"I have written this to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know you have eternal life."  1 Jn. 5:13

When we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior, God wants us to KNOW we are saved.  Many people do not believe we can truly know whether or not we have eternl life.  But God's Word teaches us that we can know we are saved.

God desires that you & I place full trust & confidence in HIM.  If we are trusting in God, we need have no doubts.  Now...if you are trusting in yourself to get to Heaven, that another story.  You'll be riddled with nothing but doubts.

Trust in God's Son & be saved today.  And if you are truly born again by God's grace, you need never worry again as to whether or not you're saved.  Learn to let God give you the full confidence & assurance that only HE can.

Are You A Sold-Out Follower Of Jesus Christ?

Luke 18:28-30

28 Peter said to him, “We have left all we had to follow you!”

29 “Truly I tell you,” Jesus said to them, “no one who has left home or wife or brothers or sisters or parents or children for the sake of the kingdom of God

30 will fail to receive many times as much in this age, and in the age to come eternal life.”

A disciple of Jesus must be willing to forsake all to follow our Lord.  Jesus expects total devotion & obedience from His people.  Anything less is unacceptable.

Many times people want to halfheartedly follow Christ.  They start out strong, but falter quickly.  Many count the cost of discipleship too high & refuse to follow Jesus.  What a pity!

God wants us to love & serve Him without reservation & with total surrender.  If we do this, we will walk in the blessings of Almighty God.  Let us stay faithful to Christ no matter the cost.  It will be worth it all when we get to Heaven.

Thank God For Problems!

"And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope:"

Romans 5:3-4 KJV

We are to glory in tribulations.  Do we thank God for our problems?  Problems force us to depend upon God.  If we never had trouble we wouldn't lean on the Lord.  Troubles keep us close to God.

Troubles remind us this world is not our home.  We are just pilgrims passing through this world.  We don't fit in & we shouldn't.  This world is a wicked place.  We are called to be a righteous people.  Problems remind us that Heaven is our final Destination.

Learn to thank God for problems.  We are not to be above suffering for our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ.  We suffer now...but someday we'll rejoice forever in Heaven with Almighty God.

Don't Fight God!

Hosea 7:13-14 (KJV)

13 Woe unto them! for they have fled from me: destruction unto them! because they have transgressed against me: though I have redeemed them, yet they have spoken lies against me.

14 And they have not cried unto me with their heart, when they howled upon their beds: they assemble themselves for corn and wine, and they rebel against me.

God brings judgment when people don't repent.  God wants you to be saved.  He gave His Son for you.  If you're fighting'd better STOP!  Sooner or later you'll run out of time.  Life will be over & judgment will come.  Don't fight God!

Why not accept Jesus today?  Just pray this prayer & mean it in your heart:  "God, be merciful to me a sinner.  Please save my soul & forgive my sins.  Let me know I'm saved.  I here & now turn from my sin & turn to You.  Thank You for saving me.  In Jesus' Name, Amen."

Friend, if you prayed that pray & meant it, you are now a child of God.  Work for God.  Serve Him any way you can.  And if you are yet unsaved, please stop fighting God.

Word Study: Repent

Word Study: REPENT

"Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;" Acts 3:19 KJV

Repent- Metanoeo- To change one's mind, i.e. to repent. To change one's mind for better, heartily to amend with abhorrence of one's past sins.

The Biblical teaching of repentance in regards to Salvation is simple. To repent is to change your mind. Period. It is NOT a work we do to be saved. The Bible is clear that Salvation is God's free GIFT to us (Eph. 2). We are saved when we ASK for this free Gift (Rom. 10:13). We turn FROM our sins & TO God. We RECEIVE Salvation; we DO NOT WORK for It. To believe that ANY work is necessary to be saved is unbiblical & heretical. Let us thank God for His Gift of eternal Salvation.

Do You Love God?

Dear reader, do you love God?  Do you love Him will all your heart?  Do you ever stop & think of all God does for you?  Are you serving Him faithfully?  What does God mean to you?

Let us not speak of loving God, lest we are doing our best for Him.  Let us strive to be doers of God's Holy Word & not hearers only.  Let us show God our love for Him by living for Him daily.

Our world needs to see & feel the love of God.  If we love God, we will love people.  We must love others enough to share Christ's Gospel with them.  This is the hope of the world.  May we be found faithful.
